A gathering in the woods outside of Reed City, MI
Cassidy and Brandon's wedding will forever go down in my books as one of the most unique weddings of 2021; not because we were out in the middle of the beautiful woods, or because Cassidy wore one of the most perfect dresses I've ever seen on a bride (I swear to God that dress was made for her!), no, it's going down in my books as the caterpillar wedding. We crashed the party (or enhanced it!) for thousands of gypsy moths in a beautiful wooded location just outside of Reed City, MI in June. This wedding had it all: bridesmaids getting so hot they chopped off the hems of their dresses so they could cool down, to running off with the couple into the woods with their two fur babies, to gorgeous handmade rustic details by the couple and their family and friends, this wedding was just sublime and not even the thousands of little hairy caterpillars were going to phase any of us who were there to celebrate these two. Cassidy and Brandon are some of the most authentic and kind hearted people I've ever met and it was an exquisite honor to see the love that these two shared and for them to finally tie the knot. It was a journey for these two with COVID and having to reschedule their original wedding date; we did not one, but two engagement sessions to re-announce their new date, and in the end, I think it was exactly what these two wanted which is all any of us would ever want for these two love birds!
