I have had the pleasure of capturing many unique and memorable weddings in the Great Lakes State and this particular summer wedding in Frankenmuth, Michigan was truly one for the books. We started the day off at the Bavarian Inn capturing the last moments of getting ready photos before we headed off to the ceremony space which took place at a beautiful public park across from the Bavarian Inn, with the bride and groom exchanging vows in front of their loved ones under a canopy of trees.

The real showstopper of this wedding was the couple's transportation to the reception. Rather than arriving in a traditional wedding car, the bride and groom and their bridal party arrived in style on a pontoon boat after going for a troll up and down the river! It was a truly unique and unforgettable moment, and I was honored to capture it all.

After their grand entrance, the bride and groom and their guests celebrated their love with food, drinks, and dancing. The pavilion was decorated with beautiful hanging florals from hoops and the couple moved their wedding arch to the reception space to provide the perfect backdrop to speeches and the wedding party table. Before the night ended, Faith and Doyle were lifted up in chairs while wearing baby bonnets to celebrate Sie Leben Hoch- a German tradition that their families have done for many years. I've never witnessed this tradition before but it was so FUN! It was the perfect way to end the night for us as photographers.

Overall, this summer wedding in Frankenmuth, Michigan was a truly unique and memorable affair. From the pontoon ride to the fun-filled reception, it was a joy to capture each and every special moment. If you are planning a summer wedding in Michigan and are in need of a photographer who can capture the uniqueness and magic of your special day, I would love to chat with you about how I can be a part of your celebration!
